Privacy Notice – CQC Inspections
As part of our legal duty to be inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), inspectors may need to access a small sample of patient records directly from our clinical system. This is to check the quality and safety of the care we provide.
Inspectors are legally bound by confidentiality under the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
Inspectors cannot change or delete any part of your record.
They cannot print, download, or copy records.
Their access is time-limited and fully audited, meaning we can see which records were viewed and when.
Patients cannot opt out of this type of access, as it is required by law, but records are only reviewed where necessary for inspection purposes.
